Teachers' Day 2026: A Journey into Digital Storytelling and Cinematic Arts

Introduction & Event Overview

Hello everyone! My name is Adityarajsinh Gohil, and I am a student in the M.A. English Programme at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University (MKBU).

Welcome to my official project showcase for our department’s Virtual Teachers’ Day celebration on September 5, 2026. This year, our academic institution redefined how we honor our educators. Instead of relying solely on traditional celebrations, our department seamlessly integrated cutting-edge digital competencies and practical technical training into our standard curriculum.

The Path to the Project

• Intensive ICT Training (Sept 1): A few days prior to the event, our ICT committee leaders conducted a rigorous hands-on training session. We learned advanced technical workflows, including how to build dynamic Google Forms, link them seamlessly to Google Sheets, and leverage Autocrat to automate the generation of personalized certificates.

• Digital Marketing & Outreach: Following the workshop, participating students were given a 4-to-5-day window to independently create, upload, and actively market their individual video projects. This exercise was designed to teach us real-world digital literacy, audience engagement, and online outreach skills.

• The Milestone (Sept 5): This date marked the official submission and rollout of our multimedia academic initiatives across platforms like YouTube.

Featured Project: Cinematography & Mise-en-Scène

As part of this initiative, I developed and produced an in-depth video essay focusing on visual media aesthetics:

• Objective: To analyze and dissect how visual framing, camera movement, lighting, and set design communicate complex narrative meanings in film.
